DNS Round-Robin Backend Failure

Internal DNS round-robin sometimes sends users to a backend that went offline after maintenance.

Scenario

Westhaven Energy's internal portal uses two backend addresses so maintenance on one host should not interrupt users. After a maintenance window, clients receive an answer that sometimes leads to a service that no longer responds. Repair the name-service configuration so the published pool contains only usable backends, while preserving the remaining service path.
