Split One LAN Into Two VLANs

Engineering and sales share a switch today; separate their broadcast domains without renumbering either group.

Scenario

Fairhaven Design has grown, and its engineering machines now sit on the same flat network as everyone else - any machine can reach any other. Engineering needs its own broadcast domain so its traffic is separated from sales, while the two sales machines must keep working exactly as they do today. Do it without changing a single IP address.
